See you at the pole

UrbanPromise School Students gathered for their normal Wed morning chapel in a bit of a different spot this morning.  Around the flag pole, Mrs. Raines encouraged them that high school students, not much older than the students at the school, started a trend that has spread around the nation for students to meet and pray at their flag poles.

Each class took a role in todays chapel.  The younger grades lead the pledges, while the older students prayed specifically for the nation and their school.  To hear from their mouths the requests they bring before God for their county and their school was truly a blessing.  They pray for safety.  They pray for all the leaders (Presidents and Principals).  They pray for God’s will to be done.

Wrap it up with singing about God’s love and peace that passes understanding, and you have a truly  amazing way to start off the morning!
