Thank you for “Joining the Journey”!

We are so thankful for each and every guest that came to our banquet.  We are thankful for the many generous sponsors who helped make it possible.

We had over 550 people filling the Chase Center on the Riverfront for a wonderful program.

Our many thanks to the fantastic students, StreetLeaders, and other who participated.  The presentation was narrated by StreetLeader Jaquan Williams.  Shakira Wideman, Na’Adirah Gervey, Lannetta Anderson and Pierre Wright shared representative stories of the burdens carried by many of our students.  Zahiya West directed the Urban Promise Middle School chorus in her original song “I Believe”.  Chris Rodriguez, Kyasis Guy-Wright, Tra’zonne Wright, and Raini Linton shared highlights of trips they have taken.  The Urban Promise Academy was praised by students Pete Gaddis, Charesse Brickhouse and Shaheed Purnell.  Special guest Robert Manda (former intern from Malawi, currently directing a program that reaches 500+ kids in Malawi) shared intern experience highlights along with Joel Orr and Salima Watson.  Praise dance to “Holy God”(Myron Bulter) was performed by Michelle and Nichelle Holland.  A moving drama by the StreetLeader Drama team highlighted the life of Christ to “Revelation Song”(by Jennie Lee Riddle).  A beyond UrbanPromise view was given by Naisha Watson (Del State) and Taureen Taylor (a top student in education at Wilmington University). The entire program was put together by Larissa Bergan.

Stay tuned – highlight photos are coming!
