UrbanPromise welcomed the students from Johns Hopkins University who have chose to spend their spring break living and serving in the city of Wilmington. Their first project was be to clean and wax all of the floors of the school/office building. The floors should be waxed monthly, but we lack the labor and funds. This was the first full waxing in two years. Not only do they floors look nice, but waxing helps keep the floors cleaner and extends the life of the floor.
These students raised nearly $500 to pay for the wax and new mops & buckets from alumni of Intervarsity. The teachers, students and families of our school are grateful to everyone who contributed.
