Traveling to Western PA has become a yearly tradition for Rob, Alison, and I. We trek up to Grove City and surrounding cities to talk to college students about joining us as Summer Interns in Wilmington, DE. Each year we enjoy oil wells, Oram’s doughnuts, seeing dear friends, and Mr. Rob’s whistling.
A highlight for me was seeing two of my previous interns who attend Grove City College. We had a great time reminiscing and catching up. We even penned a recruiting rap that we performed the next night at an InterVarsity meeting. It was grrrrrreat!
We spoke to several students who seemed very interested in inner-city ministry, so we’ll see what God does!
Being away makes me appreciate my terrific co-workers and campers! It was definitely fun to see my kiddos after being away. I feel so blessed to work here and be a small part of God’s big work in Wilmington, DE.
