"I'm an Intern because I've been so blessed, God loves me so much, and He calls me to love others. It breaks my heart to hear about the challenges the kids are facing, you can feel their pain, but it is so rewarding to see how God is using UP to heal the brokenness. When we visit the families they are so grateful that their kids have a safe place to be off the streets, so thankful they are excited about being in the camp.
As an Asian, I often put on a mask, I have to pretend everything is ok. But being an intern and living in close quarters with 7 people, sharing our emotions, you have to get real, and you help each other get through the struggles. It makes you grow.
God uses who you are. I thought I'd have to try and fit in, but He uses who you are."
