UrbanPromise Honored by New Castle County Resolution

New Castle County Resolution No. 12-071 was introduced on May 8, 2012 “Honoring and acknowledging UrbanPromise Wilmington for working with at-risk children and youth.”

We were honored that Councilman Bell of the Twelfth District and Councilman Street of the Tenth District would introduce this resolution.

We were also grateful to receive a grant for $1400 from Councilmen Bell and Street to help fund the college vision trip which enables high school students to visit various colleges, historical and civil rights sites.  You can read more about this year’s trip here.

Pictured in the photo are Councilman Street, Charity Alinda – Church and Community Relations Coordinator, Julia Li-Volunteer Coordinator, Kristin Walker – After school Program Director, Rashan – StreetLeader and College Vision Participant, Tishany – StreetLeader and College Vision Participant, and Councilman Bell.
