Holiday Highlights

One of the highlights from my holiday trip to Arkansas was going hiking with some brand new friends. My dad’s boss supports UrbanPromise financially and truly believes in the mission and vision of our work. He cooked up a hiking trip so that I could meet his daughter and discuss the summer internship with her.

A couple of Rwandan international students also joined us and an additional friend. I was able to talk to each of them about the internship and really enjoyed our conversations. I feel so blessed and thankful to have had the opportunity to meet each of them. I’m hopeful that at least one of the four students will come this summer. Maybe all four!

We checked out the famous and world-renowned “hot springs” and laughed at “cow language” at Chick-fil-a. “What language is this?” asked Robert about “Eat Mor Chikn” sign. “The language of cows,” I answered as I tried to explain to him about the cow’s campaign for humans to consume more chickens.

I thank God for His believers all over the world: in Rwanda, Arkansas, and Wilmington – Let’s get them all together for a summer in DE 2011! Be thinking about who you know that could benefit from experiencing God this summer in Wilmington!
